For the second consecutive year, Reproductive Medication Associates of Connecticut is sponsoring the March of Dimes’ annual fundraiser, “March for Babies,” in Fairfield, CT. As sponsors for the Kid Section, RMACT is providing goodie bags and a sorcerer to amuse youngsters at the walk’s culmination at Jennings Beach. Additionally, RMACT will have a team of hikers, including staff, patients and comrades, to show their support for March of Dimes’ mission for healthy pregnancies distributing press releases The walk will happen at the end result of Countrywide Barrenness Awareness Week, on April 30. RMACT’s sponsorship is another step in the direction of healthy pregnancies and will help raise awareness of the significance of singleton pregnancies when going through fertility treatment. During the last year RMACT made a crucial contribution to the fertility field through an award-winning clinical study for Comprehensive Chromosomal Screening (CCS). This new, cutting-edge type of preimplantation genetic diagnosis (PGD) tests biopsied embryos to identify the one most certain to result in a good pregnancy.
So patients are urged to transfer one embryo to restrict their possibility of twins and to plug having one healthy baby at a time. Single pregnancies are ideal because they place less physical stress on mummy and kid. While multiple births are spellbinding, especially twins, they became commoner in recent years.
These gestations can pose serious threats, including preterm work, early birth, low birth weight, gestational diabetes and preeclampsia. The babies can also have long-term incapacities like psychological retardation, cerebral palsy, and vision and hearing loss. “We are striving for healthy pregnancies, whether we are working with our infertility patients, refining advanced fertility procedures like CCS or banding together for a community event such as ‘March for Babies’,” claims Doctor. Mark Leondires, Medical Director of RMACT. “March of Nickels does vital work, and we're content to support their efforts.” . Their continuing sponsorship helps to make sure that critical research and education may continue to benefit moms and babies in Connecticut and across the nation,” claimed Greg Plage, Executive Director of the March of Cents Fairfield County Division. RMACT – Fairfield County’s biggest fertility hospital and egg donation center – has a 64% pregnancy success rate (22 pregnancies out of thirty five cycles) in patients who've had in-vitro fertilization (IVF) since 2009. RMACT wants to surpass last year’s donation of over $4,000. To make a gift, go to : . marchforbabies . About March of Nickels .
