Looking for ways to engage, learn more, tweak your management, or meet others living with diabetes? We asked the community for the best occasions and went to the organizations to share with us what they are doing this month.
November is Diabetes Awareness Month, but you know what? If you’re reading this, you’re probably already very aware of diabetes. Let’s make this month about us and how we can live our best lives. So this year, we decided that we’re going to concentrate on tips and advice to aid you thrive. And to do so, we’re leaning on our greatest resource: you. The Diabetes Daily forums and Facebook page are full of helpful smart people with type 1 and type 2 diabetes. There’s someone who’s been through everything, and they’re usually ready to help.

Here’s our list of ways to get involved! To learn more about the the specific occasions offered, click the links in the table.
- The American Diabetes Association has virtual and in-person occasions for people living with diabetes and health care professionals.
- Beyond Type 1 and Beyond Type 2 host a variety of virtual events, such as Community Table conversations. They also partner with other organizations to bring you virtual and in-person programs throughout the year.
- Diabetes Sangha is dedicated to mental health through meditation and mindfulness. They have free weekly online programs.
- JDRF has a whole host of occasions happening around the country.
- TCOYD is run by two Endocrinologists living with type 1 diabetes. They have a virtual event coming up this November!
- The Diabetes Link has helpful resources and events for young adults living with type 1 diabetes.
